15 Million Euros Direct Budget Support for North Macedonia

EU is the world leader when it comes to budget support. It involves a direct transfer of funds to the national treasuries of the partnering countries, which have been dedicated to implementing reforms for sustainable development.

In 2020, €3 billion were paid off within the budget support, which represents 24% of EUs external assistance, including neighboring countries and Instrument for pre-accession (IPA).

North Macedonia with the EU for youth project, among other things meant for employment, training and internships, is receiving €15 million of direct budget support.
